Radio-Controlled Bug and Rotating Globe
Cameron Fabric Engineering made several items for London’s Millennium Dome in 2000. These included four “X-plorites” – multicoloured spaceship-shaped, helium-filled “bugs” that flew around inside the huge tented structure under computer and radio control, avoiding all obstacles.
The 12 m. globe, printed with an image of the earth, slowly rotates on its single central axis. It was used as the backdrop for many news programmes and interviews.
